That's It, I'm Selling This House.

Would anyone like to buy our house? It comes with a brand new furnace, lovely fence, bright kitchen tile, and built-in bookshelves for an extensive library. It also comes with a damaged sewer line because trees have infiltrated the sewer pipes and cause them to flood the basement periodically with raw sewage. The first plumber came and put a camera down the pipes and showed me the saddest movie I've ever seen in my life. Then he said he could fix it for $10,ooo. I cried. Then I called a second plumber who showed me the same sad movie. And he said he could fix it for $8,000. And I cried some more.

At any rate, as much as I love the three beautiful trees that grow in my park strip directly over the sewer line and are most certainly the culprits, I am going to kill them mercilessly. There's hope, right, that once treeless, the roots might SHRIVEL UP AND DIE? Does anyone have a chainsaw I can borrow?

I so feel your pain. This has been a very expensive year for us between roofs, new babies, and old cars. Homeownership is a love hate....hate relationship sometimes. You better start selling your cute crocheted and quited stuff on etsy!
